How I Gather Holistic Insight, As A Medical Intuitive

Medical Intuitive is a non-specific term adopted by some healers to explain the use of extrasensory perceptions. In the world of healers, there is a culture of grouping therapists into packaged up modalities in order to place them into formalised roles and to consequently assume that their healing approach is the same. In reality, no two healers are truly the same even when trained in the same techniques and within this post I will attempt to share how I personally approach my healing work and where my insight comes from.
The sessions that I offer involve entering into the unknown with a person presenting with a difficulty and I then use a variety of approaches to work through their mystery like a detective with a box of perspectives. People seek guidance for various reasons, most often prompted by a health disturbance that they can no longer ignore, which throughout their process will bring some important information to the awareness for resolution. During sessions, we work through what is currently occurring, most prominent, meaningful or relevant to person, at that time.

Gathering insight through 7 main layers. From basic pathophysiological disturbances to "othering" phenomena.
"Knowledge"-based conversation
Influential information can be extremely disempowering, and this requires resolution, which I provide by explaining things such as medical or research terminology in down to earth language and re-presenting the information transparently and fairly in the context it was written in. Having spent my whole life researching and assessing the quality of information and messages around us, I can quickly identify the limitations of information and discuss the extent to which the information is relevant to a person's situation. As products of our environment, we become influenced and attached to certain information in efforts to find what's true and to manage ourselves around that. Navigating the masses of information around us, we fixate, often subconsciously, upon certain themes to formulate ideas. Our internally "knowing" needs clarity and maintenance to ensure that our ideas are aligned in a healthy way.
Holistic pathophysiology
This includes a conventional and holistic workthrough of a person's history of medical issues, and the circumstances around them. I outline and develop an extensive medical case history of the whole person, which can include everything from the most prominent conventional medical events to the most subtle wonderings. Aiming to ultimately provide a person with control over their own health, I act as a medical advocate, evaluating what has happened, explaining pathology holistically and advising according to a person's goals.
Mind-body connection
Through specialist assessment of the nervous system, we can gain an in depth understanding in terms of how a person animates, the state of their internal connections and currents and why a person becomes unwell. This gives a medical framework for a person to understand how the body is organised, to self-assess and begin to take control of their lives. Feeling empowered through this medical knowledge leads to a general health improvement as this changes the internal dynamics of a person.
Psychological archetypes
Since the beginning of humanity and the earliest emerging ideas as language has developed, we have been exposed to stories. Psychological archetypes have been highlighted to us by psychotherapists and philosophers throughout history and continue to influence our decision-making abilities, dictate our life philosophies and can prevent us from living full lives. As our exposure to media has increased and technological capacity expands, it becomes almost impossible to avoid exposure to these influential stories. Even if we decide to opt out and throw away the television, we encounter others throughout daily life and it is important to navigate our relationships in a conscious way, to identify the extent to which we are influenced and whether our interactions are helpful and meaningful to our own journey or limiting our progress in some way. Navigating the psychological themes around us is surprisingly simple, utilising a system of 12 main themes. Developing the ability to see the stories being told around us, a person can identify why they are triggered and instead of emotionally investing in damaging stories, quickly find a healthier, alternative outcome.
"Othering" phenomena
As a person's story unfolds over time, and I gain a heightened sensitivity and awareness into what's happened, I begin to feel more and more from the other person's perspective, which can involve various and mixed messages being presented to me as the sessions unfold. The experience is always unique but here are some examples:
* Feeling other people's symptoms within my own body sense
* Feeling other people's emotions or events as they are explained to me
* Feeling the dynamics or emotions in a person's relationships
* Being presented with visual imagery
* Feeling compelled to ask specific questions or unexpectedly generating ideas or information
I always feel guided in some way towards a line of enquiry, which I then I have the privilege to curiously investigate further with the person.
Reading the meadow
Encouraging a person to explore and adventure within the world around them but on a much deeper level, attracting and revealing hidden information for interpretation. Reading the meadow is a term initially presented to me during my herbal medicine degree, which described the ability to assess landscape, identify our natural dispensary and see broader interactions/dynamics within nature through the qualities of plants and terrains. I have developed this into a practical application utilising vision, sensitivity and resonance to encourage a person to find new meaning and magic in the world.
The soul's arrival
Feeling the energetics around a person's arrival in the world, I identify the main themes which gave a person their starting point for personal development. Sensing early characteristics at play in a person's life, key themes present and I get a sense of certain dynamics unfolding, causing points of tension or attraction in a person's life. This provides me with themes that a person has been working through in their life and highlights to me personal strengths or vulnerabilities to bring forward to a person's conscious awareness. This might help a person to accept certain qualities in themselves, perhaps those which have been rejected but also serves to celebrate and encourage the activation of a person's unique gifts, which for various reasons a person may have been unaware of or has turned away from.
Viewing a person with different lenses, provides holistic insight and solutions on different levels, to provide me with an inner sense of a person's lived experience, which I use to empower individuals through the sharing of knowledge, resolution of issues and building of inner resources.
